Empowering students to invest in their future
The First Star – Arizona State University Academy is a free, comprehensive four-year college access program that aims to provide foster youth the academic support, enrichment, and resources needed to enroll and succeed in college.
The program engages high school students in a variety of learning opportunities including earning college credit for academic coursework, independent study, and a two-week residential summer experience.
During their time with the academy, students will also be able to participate in cultural and social activities such as field trips, recreational events, service learning, and caregiver workshops.
Students will also benefit from education advocacy and individualized support during the academic year through monthly Saturday Academies.
